　　1) 黄家兴 助理教授

　　Dr. Ka-hing Wong obtained his PhD at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2004. He is now an Assistant Professor at the Department of Applied Biology and Chemical Technology of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Concurrently, he also serves as the Associate Director of Food Safety and Technology Research Centre which is being established by the University to address the pressing food safety and technology issues in Hong Kong and China. Dr. Wong has been for the past ten years actively developing natural bio-resources into novel functional foods for promoting good health, prevention and/or treatment of chronic diseases. By integrating the knowledge of polysaccharides chemistry, nanotechnology and cancer biology, Dr. Wong is now preparing highly stable selenium nanoparticles using different mushroom polysaccharide-protein complexes for biomedical application. This innovative research was highly recognized by the 2011 International Conference on Food Factors as well as the 40th International Exhibition of Invention of Geneva, and Dr. Wong was bestowed with the Young Investigator Award as well as Gold Medal Invention Award, respectively. More importantly, this award-winning and patented nanotechnology [Chinese patent file no: 201110208539.2; US patent file no: 13/557,864] has been recently licensed to the health food industry for commercialization.
